A very large carpet / rug, made of wool. Very large, stylized motifs of pink flowers, with stems and foliage worked in beige and brown on a black 'ground'. Tapestry woven, using tones of pink, red, maroon, beige, grey, brown and black woollen yarns; brown/black linen warp. A pink band woven at each warp end; both warp ends damaged; darning in centre field. Spots of wax on rug.
