A woman's back apron; small and rectangular. Made of two unequal sized pieces of dark red weft (?) faced tabby woven wool cloth (unevenly dyed), tightly gathered to form a ribbed fabric. Black wool crocheted trim, commercially made, stitched to sides and hemline. Additional wool crocheted trim, with scalloped edge, stitched to sides. Black wool plaited cord stitched to top, changing to a plied cord for the ties (one end much longer than the other).
