- Curator's comments
- Compare Eu1978,01.17, Eu1978,01.18 and Eu1993,08.22 for similarities of construction, materials and embellishment. The Production Place for Eu1993,08.22 was given by the donors as Macedonia (Greece) or Macedonia (Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia). However, this appears to be erroneous as this type of waistcoat is characteristic of Attica, Greece, see A. Hatzimichali, 'The Greek Folk Costume', Athens 1979, vol.1, pp. 56-57.
