Belt clasp, copper alloy, in two parts, each disc with repoussé foliate motifs with an applied boss in the centre and applied cast foliate flanges at the sides; a central cast pointed oval link with applied cast rosette. The sides of the discs and the hook and eye are cast and soldered on; the bars for attaching a fabric belt at the back are missing.

- Text from Eth Doc 1836: (251a-b) These buckles are round and the ornaments on them feature a vase with flowers. From Samokov district. End of the 19th century.
Information supplementary to Eth Doc:
The description in Eth Doc is wrong. The clasp has foliate ornament, in the form of a fruit with leaves. See Blagoeva and Veleva 1983, p. 159, fig. 84 and Blagoeva, 'Bulgarian buckles and belts', nd, p. 19 top, for similar examples from Karlovo region.
