- Curator's comments
- Text from Eth Doc 1836 (entry 135): Carpet. It is woven on a vertical loom with the application of the tapestry type of technique. Stripes made up of uniform patterns - plant combined with bird motifs stand out on a dark red margin. The ornaments on this carpet are called trellis vine, hence its name trellis vine, 'loznitsa', in Bulgarian. The model of this carpet is a rather old one but it is still being produced in the country.
Beginning of the C20th.
