A woman's underdress with long sleeves. Bodice is made of natural cream tabby woven silk with seersucker stripes of different widths; deep centre front opening trimmed with crochet. Crochet used to join sections of sleeve together and to join sleeve to shoulder. Very fine cream crocheted edge at hem. Skirt of underdress made of natural cream muslin cloth with fine stripes, slightly gathered at sides. Lower part of seams joined by openwork crochet. A line of identical cut work floral motifs, worked beside a scalloped shaped hem.
