- Description
-
Light to dark brown flint dagger. The blade is triangular shaped with a damaged tip, and has parrallel flaked pressure seams on both edges. No medial ridge is present on the blade, which is very even and flat. The handle thickens towards the base with its thickest point just above the base of the dagger. A medial ridge is present on one side of the handle but not on the opposite side. On the side with the medial ridge are parrallel flaking scars in a diagonal direction travelling across the handle. The handle edges also have pressure flaked seams as with the blade. The cross-section of the base is oval, rectangular in shape and the base flares out at the edges.

- Curator's comments
- Apel (2001) type 4 Scandinavian dagger. This is based on its handle having a medial ridge on one side only, also its shape in profile and cross-section.
