Curator's comments
Possibly the mark of Anne Smith, London goldsmith. Free of the London Goldsmiths' Company 1692 mentioned in 1692 poll tax return and fined in 1695 for substandard wares. Signed the register in 1697. Date of death unrecorded. Possibly also the mark of Augustine Sodye, London ringmaker. Free of the London Goldsmiths' Company 1573, Died 1611. Maker's mark information from Dr. David Mitchell - November 2011.
