Brooch, braided hair and gold, in the form of a coiled snake biting its tail in light brown hair, the body an open table-braided tube, the head and tail in gold, the head chased to indicate scales, the eye sockets empty but probably once contained stones. Set on gold wire frame with pin fitting at the back. Swedish assay marks on reverse.
