- For full discussion of Kaiser's work for the Kieler Kunst-Keramik, see Joachim & Angelika Konietzny (eds), 'Augusta Kaiser. Bildhauerin und Keramikerin. Ihr Werk für die Kieler Kunst-Keramik AG', Pansdorf 2017. Another version of this jar, model number 510, is illustrated ibid as cat. 37, p. 113 text p. 77. It is noted here, quoting a letter from Hedwig Marquardt of July 1924, that this model was, exceptionally, wheel-thrown, unlike Kaiser's other sculptural covered jars which were turned in the mould.
