Striking lantern clock with alarm
Brass posted-frame with four turned finials at corners, and another over trapped bell and three pierced frets to the front and sides having foliate scrolls and central shield, front fret is engraved, side ones are not. Doors on sides of case have bird-shaped handles.
Wide silvered chapter ring with roman hour numerals (I-XII) and outer minute track with arabic numerals (5-60). Central silvered alarm disc. Blued steel beetle and pokerhour and minute hands, minute hand having elongated end for use with alarm disc.
Weight-driven movemen (2 driving weights, 2 counterweights) with rope drive, verge escapement with pendulum. Countwheel striking clock with alarm train.
