- This is one of the most enduring of Sarpaneva's design and has been constantly in production since it was designed in 1960. The detachable wooden handle can be used to lift the pot, but can also be used as a lever with which to open the lid when the dish is hot. The pots were illustrated in Erik Zahle (ed.), 'Scandinavian Domestic Design', London 1963, fig. 349, p. 239, where it is noted that these pots have been made unusually thin with the help of a specila alloy.
