A copper-alloy Colchester Derivative brooch of Polden Hill type, complete and undistorted, though the spring and pin are corroded and the pin fractured. The bilateral spring is intact on the axis bar, its chord secured in the rearward facing hook; the wings have neatly-cut mouldings; the very lightly faceted bow and foot are plain; and the catch-plate has a triangular opening.
