A complete plain, flanged axehead with a flared lower blade. The sides of the body are raised into a flange about 1.5mm high. Although no stop ridge or other decoration is visible, the surfaces of the axe are heavily corroded and may have obscured the finer features.

- The axe falls into Needham’s (1980) Class 5B and Schmidt & Burgess’s (1981) Long-Flanged axes of Type Arreton, belonging to the Arreton metalwork phase (Needham 1996).
