Description
A copper-alloy Aucissa brooch complete except for the tip of the hinged pin. The head-plate has transverse mouldings and a cut-out is preserved on one side. The bow has a central raised ridge flanked by flutes and a border ridge. There is a transverse moulding at the junction with the foot which ends in a moulded knob. The bow has been bent right back on itself so that the back of the catch-plate almost touches the back of the head.
