Dial False-Plate from a Longcase Clock.
Rectangular cast iron false-plate with square edges. Inside the frame is a cat aware area to provide accommodation for the clock movament under-dial work.
Three additional semi-circular cast-outs are for the winding squares (lower right and left, and a third upper left).
Four painted, turned brass feet are riveted to plate for fixing the false-plate to the clock movement front plate. There are four holes for dial feet (below false plate feet; upper left and right; lower right and left).
