Earthenware tile, dust-pressed body, with printed, hand-painted and stencilled design of two humming birds above stylised flowers and leaves, in magenta, green, pale blue, turquoise blue. yellow, pink, red, salmon, white and black. The design is set against a black background, achieved by printing the tile in black, leaving the design reserved in white. After firing, the design was coloured in, the yellow, salmon, pale pink, pale blue and red stencilled, the magenta, turquoise, and green hand-painted. Factory backstamp.
