- Curator's comments
- These are reproductions of designs originally made c. 1946-7 for Riverside Ceramic Company, Los Angeles. The shapes were noted for their rounded bases which allow them to rock without tipping, and for their rich glaze colours. See M. Eidelberg, 'Eva Zeisel, Designer for Industry', exhibition catalogue, Montreal 1984, p. 44. The reproductions attempt to recapture the colours of the original series.
