Glass finger-bowl, clear glass decorated with a triple band of honeycomb cutting, a row of circular dotted cuts alternating with boat-shaped cuts.

- Curator's comments
- The pattern on this bowl is copied from the celebrated Roman bowl found in the Saxon grave at Leuna, Germany, in the Slade Collection. Harry Powell first made copies of this bowl in 1896 and subsequently developed a set of matching table glass over the next decade, with simplified cutting and the addition of stems. The elaborate cutting is close to the Roman original while the shape remains that of a Victorian finger-bowl, with incurved sides and star-cut on the base.
