Circular plastercast from the seal of the Clunic Priory of St Pancras, Sussex, showing a king cross-legged in a canopied niche; holding his beard with his right hand, in his left hand a long sword pointing upwards. on each side a smaller canopied niche; a courtier; outside these, in still smaller canopied niches, an attendant, wearing a cap shaped helmet and holding a mace. in base under a four centred arch, St Pancras, kneeling to the left, receiving martyrdom by the sword of an executioner. Behind the saint a scroll inscribed S' PANCRATIS. On the masonary on each side of this arch a shielg of arms: left (warrenne) right (warrenne) quartered with (fitzalan). On the plinth between niches and canopy the inscription MARTIRIALE DECUS TRIBUIT MICHI CESARIS IRA
