- Curator's comments
- One of a group of tiles based on 13th-14th century Moorish inlaid ceramic mosaic decoration at the Alhambra. See also 1999,3-10,5 and 6; 2001,5-1,1-4. This border motif occurs widely at the Alhambra. It was then copied in the cuerda seca technique in the 15th century; for examples see 1903,10-21,4 and 5, from Seville.
