- One of a group of three tiles (see 1999,3-10, 1 and 3) based on Spanish tiles of the 16th century. For examples with similar interlocking strapwork borders, see 1887,10-10,8, OA 4376 and AF87. This tile is a direct copy of examples that decorate the buildings erected by Charles V in the Alhambra in Granada and in the Royal Palace in Seville.
