- Curator's comments

The information recorded in 'site details' came from the plastic bags in which the objects were sent to the Museum. The writing on these bags is faded and sometimes only legible with a U.V. lamp.
The bags were also starting to decay, so they could not be archived.
The landowner and farmer J W Clarke allowed R M Jacobi to field walk and excavate on his land then gave permission for Jacobi to add the finds to the British Museum collection.
