Gilt copper alloy buckle: cast; rectangular plate with zigzag border in raised frame round a border containing pairs of chip-carved Style I animals at each end and a central panel of two Style I animals around central rectangular inlaid garnet (?) with bevelled edges; in each corner a tear-shaped garnet (one missing) and a dome-headed rivet; D-shaped loop with animal head terminals and zoomorphic decoration is attached to plate by a modern pin through lugs on both; tongue with animal head terminal and garnet (?) in basal rectangle.
