Copper alloy buckle, originally gilded: narrow D-shaped loop and broad-based tongue hinged to deep semi-circular belt-plate with cloisonné heart-shaped scrolls inlaid with malachite and small pearls and clear glass in interstices, radiating round a central D-shape of pearls in collets, enclosing a semi-circle of clear glass (some of pearls and interstices and one of hearts missing); slight notched flange around base; sheet base-plate secured by three rivets (two with coiled ends and one with a washer).
