One of four earthenware tiles, dust-pressed buff body inlaid with pale and dark celadon green, leaving no body colour showing. The design features a diagonally-placed cross pierced with trefoils and set wtihin an ornamental circle with three dots between each segment. Maker's mark on reverse.

- These tiles were designed by John Pollard Seddon and the design was published in the Building News on 14 November 1873. The original drawings are in the Victoria and Albert Museum, acquisition number D2007-1896, pressmark 94J18. See 1993,1204.1, 3, 4 for the rest of the set.
