Watercolour of a mosaic fragment from Gloucester.
Portion of a square scheme. Guilloche border endlocsed part of a corner panel with traces of a yellow and red leaf or petal. Bordering the guilloche along two opposing sides are rectangular panels with black outlines, enclosing a row of black squares set lozengewise. The black outlines turn the angles of the mosaic to enclose, on at least one side, a row of egg-and-dart motifs in black with twin stalked heart shaped leafes.
