Watercolour of a mosaic from Cirencester, labyrinth design.
Fragmentary mosaic with highly complicated labyrinth design; the basic scheme is a square quartered, with a central open cross-shaped compartment containing a grey square. In each quarter is a series of zig-zag lines reflecting the shape of the cross. The labyrinth is surrounded by a repeating pattern of swastika-meanders, and this is surrounded by a band of guilloche.
