Timer switching device with circular gilt-brass plates and four cylindrical pillars, retained by hexagonal nuts; spring-driven movement with going-barrel and four-wheel train of lantern pinions and wheels with five crossings; pin-pallet lever escapement with gilt-brass two-arm balance, spiral balance spring and regulator mounted on back-plate; separate pinion on the barrel arbor drives a separated split double-wheel with springs set in it to eliminate back-lash; arbor of this wheel was connected to the device which this movement controlled; squared arbor with spiral spring; three long bolts used to attach timer to the machine which it controlled are still between the plates.
