A keyless watch with a pin pallet lever escapement.
Signature: On the dial 'Ingersoll LEADER' and 'MADE U.S.A.'.
Case: A nickel plated case and a snap on bezel and back.
The case back stamped 'MADE IN U.S.A.'
Dial and Hands: A black paper dial with white Arabic numerals. A sunk subsidiary seconds dial. Luminous dots at the hours. The minute and hour hand nickel plated and luminised and a luminised seconds hand.
Movement: Ebauche marks, none
Frame: A type 5D movement numbered on the back plate F4683826 with a gilt finish. The barrel bridge stamped 'MADE IN U.S.A.' and with three lubricating holes.(1)
Dimensions: Case 51 mm in diameter and 16 mm in height, over the glass.
Provenance: Donated by the Heron Corporation Ltd in 1983.
(1) These three holes are of course above the barrel which also has the three holes which can be aligned during winding so that an oiler can be passed through the barrel bridge and into the barrel if so desired.
