Keyless wound watch with a pin pallet lever escapement.
Signature: On the dial "YANKEE INGERSOLL" and "MADE IN USA".
Case: A nickel plated case, badly rubbed, a snap on bezel and back.
Dial and Hands: A white paper dial with black Arabic numerals. Red Arabic numerals for the minutes at 5 minute intervals. A sunk subsidiary seconds dial. Spade hour and minute hands. The hands including the seconds hand are of blued-steel.
Movement: Type 5B numbered 55937496 with gilt finish.
On the barrel bridge set out in a circular fashion is 'ROBT. H. INGERSOLL & BRO. NEW YORK MADE IN U.S.A. PATENTED APRIL 11.05. JUNE 4.07. JUNE 29.09. MAY 24. 10. NOV.12.12. JULY 2.18.'
