TRENDSETTER

Wrist Watch with a pin pallet lever escapement.
Signature: On the dial 'TRENDSETTER'
Case: A two piece gilded oval case with a plain bezel. The case middle has around it rope embellishment.
Dial & Hands: An oval black painted metal dial with gold Roman numerals and also in gold 'TRENDSETTER' this being below the XII o'clock. The dial with two feet retained by dog screws on the inside of the front plate. Gilt Louis 14th style hands.
Movement:
Ebauche Mark: A for Amida and 502 507 under the dial on the front plate.
Frame: A bridge for the barrel and keyless work, on this bridge is the Amida trade mark 'SWISS AMIDA LTD' and 'UNADJUSTED', another bridge for the train, with on this 'ONE 1 JEWEL'. Cocks for the pallets and balance. Five pillars support the varios parts these being secured by screws.
Barrel and Mainspring: A going barrel with a recessed cover.
Barrel: internal diameter 9.45 mm., height 1.85 mm.
Mainspring: height 1.85 mm., thickness 0.11 mm.
Barrel Arbor: diameter 3.0 mm., snailed.
Hooking: milled from the barrel wall.
Train: The brass wheels not gilded, the centre wheel, third and fourth wheels with five crossings.
Jewelling: Kif type bearing for the balance cock with a brass hole and a ruby endstone. That in the front plate not jewelled but a brass hole and a steel endpiece.
Escapement: An obtuse angle layout pin pallet lever escapement with long lever, double roller and D-shaped impulse pin of steel. The pallet pins of steel in a nickel silver lever, the dart of brass. A nickel silver escape wheel with four crossings.
An equal impulse escapement.
No. of teeth embraced 3½.
Balance & Spring: a monometallic balance with a plain rim. Balance diameter 10.0 mm, thickness 0.55 mm. A 'self compensating' flat spiral spring with 10 1/2 turns.
Means of Regulation: An index on the balance cock registers against a divided scale with + and - stamped on the balance cock.
