Canada, c. 1930
Keyless wound pocket watch with pin pallet lever escapement.
Signature: On the dial 'Westclox ZOBO' and 'MADE IN CANADA'.
Case: A chrome plated case with a snap on bezel and back.
Dial and Hands: A white painted metal dial with black Arabic numerals and minute circle, a sunk subsidiary seconds dial. On the back of the dial is printed several times 'MADE IN U.S.A.' The dial held by three tags. Blued steel hands.
Movement: Like an Ingersoll type 6 but a mirror image layout.
Ebauche marks: none.
Frame: The brass plates with a gilt finish, but a steel barrel bridge this inscribed 'MADE IN CANADA WESTERN CLOCK CO. LTD'. The back plate numbered 5 57.
Barrel and Mainspring: The going barrel has no cover the barrel bridge acting as the mainspring restraint.
Barrel and Spring: Going barrel internal diameter 18.5 mm., height 3.35 mm.
Mainspring: height 3.45 mm., thickness 4.8 mm.
Barrel Arbor: diameter 4.8 mm., snailed.
Hooking: A round hook.
Train: All the wheels gilded, the centre wheel, third and fourth wheels with five crossings. The escape wheel with three.
Jewelling: No jewels. Cone pivots for the balance working in steel cups that in the front plate adjustable.
Escapement: A straight line layout pin pallet lever escapement with a long lever, effectively a double roller and steel impulse pin set in the balance arm. The lever of brass with the arbor of die cast metal. The pivots are a single steel pin that passes through the die cast arbor and the steel pallet pins are also set in die cast inserts. The dart is brass.
An equidistant locking escapement.

Balance & Spring: a monometallic balance with a plain rim. Balance diameter 14.3 mm., thickness 0.5 mm. A steel flat spiral spring with 9 1/4 turns.
Means of Regulation: An index on the back plate registers against a stamped divided scale with 'F' and 'S'.
