Devotional pendant in enamelled gold, fitted with a hinged, glazed lid with a plain gold bezel. The interior is gold with an enamelled Pietà in very high relief depicted on a red and white chequered floor with a blue background studded with gilded stars. The exterior is enamelled with a dense pattern of flowers on a dark blackish enamel background. A pendant pearl is suspended below.

Dated 1.7.1974, lot 59, described as 'South German devotional pendant locket, the frame enamelled with polychrome flowers in the manner of Johannes Heel, the front glazed, containing an enamelled gold group of the Pieta, modelled in high relief against a light blue ground , seme with stars, pearl pendant, second half of the 17th century'.
