- Text from catalogue of the Hull Grundy Gift (Gere et al 1984) no. 2:
This is a fine example of glass-paste set jewellery from the point of view of both colouring and cutting of the 'stones'. Probably made during the second half of the eighteenth century, the best period for work in this medium in both England and France. (Charlotte Gere).
