Cast and chased brooch or 'crochet de montre' with a watch hook on the reverse, depicting Amour and Psyche, with two haloed heads in high relief flanked by folded wings, their names inscribed on their haloes. Warranty mark and partially legible maker's mark.

Designed by Edmond-Henri Becker (b. 1871), with chasing by p. E. Richard. A version designed by Becker and made by Ferdinand Verger with chasing by Richard was shown in the Salon 1n 1899 (see Revue des Arts Décoratifs, February 1900). (Judy Rudoe).
