- Text from catalogue of the Hull Grundy Gift (Gere et al) no. 1178:
According to Neuwrth (1977) the firm of Ernst Paltscho is recorded at this address from 1914 to 1922. Ernst Palscho (1858-1929) founded the firm in 1899. He was appointed jeweller to the Greek Royal House and worked for many of the Austro-Hungarian aristocracy. The business was continued by his son Erwin, who joined the firm in 1918. (Charlotte Gere)
