- Description
-
Chain of ten interlinked gold rings with incised decoration giving a twisted appearance and one smooth and lozenge sectioned ring. The ten incised rings have different sizes and have a section twisting from left to right with the exception of the smooth terminals. The terminals are separated only by a very narrow gap. The lozenge sectioned ring is slightly damaged especially at the terminals. The rings were made from a bar of circular cross- section with tapering ends. A spiral V-shaped groove was cut into the surface before the bar was bent into a ring.

- Curator's comments
- There is a comparable, albeit longer, chain from the hoard at Szarvaszó, Hungary (Mozsolics 1973, 92-93, 206, Taf 92)
