Swept hilt rapier, the steel blade long and straight, double-edged with a deep medial fuller at either side and a ricasso between the quillons and the guard. The guard is formed of a set of six loops at either side joined to a pair of quillons and knuckle bow with side loops. The grip is of wood carved with cables and chevrons, the pommel, also of iron, is oval. The blade is stamped 'SW' at either side of the ricasso and 'R' twice at its shoulders. The blade is corroded and damaged, the hilt corroded and loose and held to the pommel by wire. The end of the tang protrudes from the pommel.
