Description
Jug; tin-glazed earthenware; commemorating the Restoration of Charles II; painted in blue on a white ground with two panels enclosing a ship, building and trees at the sides and with a central medallion with crowned half-figure of Charles II in blue, yellow and manganese; rope-twisted blue handle connecting globular body to narrow flaring neck with pinched spout; neck and solid spread foot painted with stylised leaves; inscription and date.
