Centre-piece; porcelain; creamy white; in form of covered basket supported on rocky base by two flowering trees on either side and two seated putti, sprigs of blossom on their heads, at either end; basket surmounted by flowering bough; base hollowed out and glazed; no marks.

- Curator's comments
- A white glazed bowl and cover supported by two seated putti on a rockwork base corresponding with the BM example was sold at Piasa, Paris, Ceramique Ancienne, 30 May 2012, lot 102. This is dated 1750 (incised underneath).
An example lacking cover was sold at Phillips, Good British Ceramics and Glass, 13 December 2000, lot 144, and another in Gabszewicz and Freeman, no. 183 is mentioned in the catalogue entry.
