Gold pair-cased five-minute repeating verge watch.
Movement with five cylindrical knopped pillars.
Fusee with chain and standard stop-work.
Four wheel gear train.
Verge escapement; polished steel 3-arm balance.
Spiral balance spring with geared regulation, silver index numbered 1-6.
Pendant operated five-minute repeat mechanism
White enamel dial with Roman hours I-XII and Arabic minutes 0-60 numbered every fifth division. Elaborately pierced gold hands.
Gold pair cases, the inner pierced and engraved. Outer case pierced and embossed with a depiction of Zephyr and Flora.

- Curator's comments
- The decoration of the outer case is attributed to Augustin Heckel by Richard Edgcumbe in 'The Art of the Gold Chaser', OUP, 2000, p.62, fig.44. The design depicting Zephyr and Flora is taken from L'odorat by Sébastien Leclerc fils, engraved by Edmé Jeurat in 1712.
