GILT-BRASS AND PAINTED ENAMEL PAIR CASED VERGE CENTRE-SECONDS COACH WATCH.

MOVEMENT
Circular gilt-brass plates with four tapered pillars. Gilt-brass barrel with ratchet and click set-up under the dial. Fusee with chain and standard stop-work. Four wheel going train terminating with a verge escapement. Brass 3-arm balance with spiral steel balance-spring and Tompion regulation, the silver index engraved 5-30. Balance cock pierced and engraved with foliate scrolls and with a diamond endstone. When operated, a stop lever in the edge of the dial-plate intecepts the crown wheel.

DIAL & HANDS
Gilt-brass dial plate with a white enamel dial. Outer circle for minutes numbered 5-60 surrounding Roman hours I-XII. Gold hour, minute and centre-seconds hands.

DUST-CAP
Gilt-brass dust-cap with steel slide-lock. Signed and numbered on the back.

CASES
Plain gilt-brass inner case with hinged glazed lid and gilt-brass pendant, the bow with acanthus decoration.
Gilt-brass outer case, the bezel rim with split pearls and red pastes. Bezel and band with engraved floral decoration. In the middle of the back an inserted enamel plaque depicting a left-facing portrait bust of a woman.
