SILVER CASED VERGE COACH WATCH WITH ALARM.
Circular gilt-brass plates with four baluster pillars. Gilt-brass barrel with tangent-screw set-up; fusee with chain and standard stop-work. Four-wheel train of gilt-brass wheels. Verge escapement with brass four-arm balance. Spiral balance-spring with geared regulation, the brass index disc engraved 1-8. Pierced and engraved foliate balance cock.
Alarm train driven by a gilt-brass fixed barrel. Three wheel train the second and contrate wheels of solid steel. Steel crown wheel operating with a verge and alarm hammer.
DIAL & HANDS
Silver chapter-ring with Roman hours I-XII and foliate half-hour marks surrounding a quarters circle. In the centre an alarm-setting disc engraved 1-12 with half-hour marks surrounding a quarters circle with a pointer at 12 to show the hour.
Central alarm-setting hand.
Silver case with hinged glazed bezel. Pierced around the band with holes and a patter of linked letter N's. On the back, two covers for the winding holes and an engraved circle containing a monogram. Silver pendant with loose ring.
