Pocket watch movement with a club tooth lever escapement.
Dial and Hands: Flat dial with sunk centre to the subsidiary seconds dial. In the counter enamel in red is 15680 and B. Also scratched is 15680. Blued-steel moon hands, the hour not original, blued-steel seconds hand.
Ebauche Marks: 15680
Frame: A bar movement, the bridges and cocks of fanciful shapes and the back plate, where visible, copiously engraved with foliage and flowers. The barrel also engraved where it is visible.
Barrel and Mainspring: A hanging going barrel with Geneva stopwork, the finger missing. A recessed cover to the barrel. Barrel I. diameter 15.6 mm., height 1.7 mm.
Mainspring height 1.7 mm., thickness 0.21 mm
Arbor: diameter 5.0 mm., not snailed.
Train: Brass wheels not gilded with five crossings except for the steel escape wheel which has four.
Jewelled: from the third onwards, the jewels rubbed in, endstones of ruby for the balance pivots.
Escapement: Club tooth lever, obtuse angle layout, long lever, single roller, impulse pin elliptical. Pallet stones convex on both impulse and locking faces. The pallet frame with poising tail. Escape wheel steel, the teeth chamfered. Solid banking.
Equidistant locking escapement.
Number of teeth embraced 3½.
Balance and Spring: Three arm steel balance with three sets of brass screws around the rim. Balance diameter 15.4 mm., thickness 0.6 mm. Blued-steel flat spiral spring with 11 turns.
Means of Regulation: Index on the balance cock registering against a divided scale with engraved 'A R'.
