Gold finger-ring with a hollow, smoothly-profiled hoop. The gem setting is surrounded by an applied border of beaded wire, now heavily worn, which extends into tight spiral patterns at each end. The gem is a nicolo (quartz), engraved with a standing, winged figure holding a long thyrsus. The figure appears female, but has been identified as Pothos, a member of the retinue of Venus.
