Circular copper counterplate for seal-matrix for Straits Settlements with a painted brass mount with two threaded stems. On a diapered ground the Royal arms under the Imperial crown, flanked by the date, divided, enclosed in circles. Below, three shields, the dexter a palm-tree, the sinister a sprig from a tree, the middle a tower with a lion passant guardant, surmounted respectively by the names of the Straits Settlements. There is an inner and outer legend. Defaced.
