Baton. Rock crystal, silver gilt, enamel, pearl. The faceted rock crystal cylinder fitted at each end with mounts comprising a silver gilt sheath; at the base terminating in crockets, above is an applied band with spokes holding seed pearls; the upper end terminating in castellated architecture, the dome enamelled in opaque green and blue enamel, surmounted by a circular ring holding seed pearls, above a globular drop fitted with a loop.

- Compare the crystal sceptre in the Mansion House, London, part of the City regalia. Attributed to Paris and London 1380 and c1420, crystal, gold, saphires, spinels, pearls, 43 cm long and presented to the City by Henry V in 1420-1 in thanks for support for his French campaigns. Compare with Crown of Blanche of Lancaster in Munich. The Honour and Frandeur, Regalia, gold and silver at the Mansion House, Michael Hall and Ralph Holt, London 2015, cat.1.
Listed as lot 53 on the fourth day of the 1770 sale of the collection of Lady Betty Germain: 'A chrystal sceptre enriched with pearls, enamellings, etc.'
