Iron leaf-headed linch-pin. It has crescentic arms and a leaf-shaped head set at right angles to the stem and ending in a conical point. A pierced lug protrudes at right angles between the arms. The lower part of the stem is slightly recessed at the back. The section of the stem immediately below the head is decorated with an impressed divided-leaf shaped design.

From the Sandy Hoard.
This is the only one of the group (registration nos. 1915,1208.331-334) to have been cleaned, and this has revealed that the section of the stem immediately below the head is decorated with an impressed divided-leaf shaped design.
