Painted Limoges enamel plaque; copper, rectangular; The Circumcision: within an architectural interior, figures of Mary and Joseph holding the Child, Christ, over a table; the High Priest, Simeon with a knife to right; painted in semi-opaque enamels with brilliant translucent enamels over coloured foils; flesh tones and gilding; counter enamel is translucent and mottled. In a modern gilded wood frame.
